Transcendental Meditation: a Scientifically Validated Program.
The Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique is a simple, natural, effortless procedure whereby the mind easily and naturally arrives at the source of thought, the settled state of the mind -- Transcendental Consciousness -- pure consciousness, self-referral consciousness, which is the source of all creative processes. Transcendental meditation is practised for 15–20 minutes in the morning and evening, while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. During this technique, the individual's awareness settles down and experiences a unique state of restful alertness. As the body becomes deeply relaxed, the mind transcends all mental activity to experience the simplest form of awareness, Transcendental Consciousness, where consciousness is open to itself. This is the self-referral state of consciousness.

The experience of Transcendental Consciousness develops the individual's latent creative potential while dissolving accumulated stress and fatigue through the deep rest gained during the practice. This experience enlivens the individual's creativity, dynamism, orderliness, and organising power, which result in increasing effectiveness and success in daily life.

The Transcendental Meditation technique is scientific, requiring neither specific beliefs nor adoption of a particular lifestyle. The practice does not involve any effort or concentration. It is easy to learn and does not require any special ability. People of all ages, educational backgrounds, cultures, and religions in countries throughout the world practise the technique and enjoy its wide range of benefits.

Scientific Research on TM
The TM Organization claims that over 600 scientific research studies have been conducted at more than 200 independent universities and research institutes in 30 countries have shown that the TM Programmme benefits all areas of an individual's life: mind, body, behaviour, and environment.
The research findings include:

Intelligence Growth
Increased Creativity
Broader Comprehension
Improved Perception
Greater Orderliness
Improved Academic Skills
Improved Intellectual Performance

Increased Productivity
Relations at Work
Decreased Drug Abuse
Self Actualization
Increased Self-Concept
Increased Relaxation
Increased Energy Level
Greater Appreciation of Others
Increased Self-Esteem

Lower Blood Pressure
Improved Health
Reduced Anxiety
Reduced Medical Care
Decreased Stress
Reversal of Aging
Change in Breathing
Deep Rest

Improved Quality of Life
Decreased Crime
Decrease Violent Fatality
Reduced Conflict

The research has been published in such major scientific journals as Science, the American Journal of Physiology, Scientific American, Lancet, the Journal of Counseling Psychology, the International Journal of Neuroscience, the Journal of the Canadian Medical Association, the British Journal of Educational Psychology, and the Journal of Conflict Resolution.
Research indicates that TM technique Meditators on average have the biological age of a person 5 to 12 years younger, as well as significantly reduced incidence of illness and risk of heart disease. Studies also show that TM technique Meditators have warmer interpersonal relationships, less anxiety, increased self-esteem and self-confidence, increased problem-solving ability and greater creativity. The individual spontaneously radiates a purifying and nourishing influence of positivity and harmony in society as a whole.

  • The Natural Stress Relief technique, that can be learned for $25.00 only, is very similar to the original TM taught by Maharishi in 1958, with a single basic syllable or "mantra" suitable for anybody (around 1970 Maharishi started to prescribe different "mantras", but this did not change the effects of TM at all). The Natural Stress Relief technique preserves the full effectiveness of Maharishi's TM and is 3 to 4 times more effective than Benson’s relaxation response and other techniques, including autogenic training, self-hypnosis, audio brainwave techniques, meditation techniques.

  • The Natural Stress Relief technique was created by R.Harrison (Ph.D. in physics), an expert practitioners of the original technique (since 1983) and a former TM teacher. He was charmed by the changes in EEG patterns during the practice of TM and he studied them in physical terms with another physicist, Fabrizio Coppola.
